This ‘whole walking to class in the cold and then being hot in class’ thing is getting old. I decided to try to tackle it by making two looks out of essentially the same outfit with the addition of a jacket.
First, with the jacket:
Jacket: Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker
Black cardigan: Banana Republic
White Top: Target
Jeans: Forever 21
(Blame the bad photography on Bill… explains why I have a halo around my head.. I really need to buy a tripod!)
As it begins to get colder, I’m really trying not to default to jeans and a sweater and a warm coat. I want to try to make myself look more presentable at least a few times a week.
Pink Top: I (heart) Ronson
Gray Tights: Target
Flats: JC Penney
It’s been awhile since I’ve actually gone out. Sure, I meet friends for dinner or get a drink with Bill now and then, but last night was the first time in awhile where I just let loose and hits the bars. I woke up this morning (read: afternoon) realizing why I don’t do that as often anymore, but it was all totally worth it to help my friend celebrate her 21st.
We started the night at a great asian bistro, where we got some great appetizers, sushi and wine. Then we headed to the bars.
Dress: Target (this is the dress I bought for our engagement pictures)
Tights: Simply Vera by Vera Wang for Kohl’s
Black Boots: Payless
This week I did something I haven’t done in years: worn shorts. Twice.
I’m not sure what got into me but I wanted to mix it up and found some shorts in the back of my closet. It was oddly warm (and I knew it was going to get cold) so I decided to use them one last time before the cold came. And sure enough the following days it dropped about 15 degrees.
Maroon sleeveless cardigan: Roommate’s
Blue and white striped tee: Roomate’s
Black bib-front shorts: Express
Sandals: Gianni Bini
Blue Tee: Express
Khaki Bermudas: ?
Gold Sandals: ?
